Information pertaining to the upcoming Westmont SID 23 board election:


  • This is considered a mail-in ballot election.  This means there is no polling place.  You either mail-in or drop-off your ballot. 
  •  Ballots must be received by the Sarpy County Election Commission by 5:00 pm on September 9th. 
  • You Must use the ballot envelope provided. Th

Information pertaining to the upcoming Westmont SID 23 board election:


  • This is considered a mail-in ballot election.  This means there is no polling place.  You either mail-in or drop-off your ballot. 
  •  Ballots must be received by the Sarpy County Election Commission by 5:00 pm on September 9th. 
  • You Must use the ballot envelope provided. This is important. 
  • Ballots were sent out to property owners in mid-July.  If you have misplaced your ballot, the Sarpy County Election Commission staff will work with you to obtain a replacement ballot.  Call (402) 593-2169
  •  Ballots can be mailed in, or dropped into the ballot drop-boxes, or hand-delivered to the Sarpy County Election Commission staff.   
  • The Sarpy County Election Commission is located inside the “Sarpy County 1102 Building” (that’s the one just west of 72nd street where we register our vehicles).  
  • The actual street address is 1102 E 1st St., Papillion NE 
  • There are two official ballot drop boxes located on the “Sarpy County 1102 Building” property;  One is a Walk-up box and the other is a Drive-up box. These are the Only 2 drop boxes that should be used.

Unfortunately, the SID board meeting minutes have not been made available to the public since February of 2025.

SID 23 Board increases operating budget. Property Tax Levy increase to follow

The current SID 23 board has increased the 2025 operating budget by 258% over 2024 levels, to cover added costs of water meter and concrete projects. 


To cover this increase, your tax levy will increase from .61 per $100 of home valuation to .67


This change amounts to a DeFacto 10% Levy tax increase for Westmont property owners.

SID 23 Board pushes $500,000 residential water meter replacement plan in Westmont

The current SID 23 water board has pushed forward a plan to require Westmont households to have their water meters replaced with "MUD - compliant" residential water meters at a cost to Westmont residents of $540,000+  


The cost for this project works out to around $1300 per household and will be funded through property taxes.  This is in a
