The current SID 23 water board has initiated a plan to have Westmont's existing household water meters replaced with "Metropolitan Utilities District (MUD) - compliant residential water meters” at a cost to Westmont residents of $540,000+

During the March 2024 meeting, the SID board members voted to contract with Andersen Plumbing Inc for $540,000+ to replace the existing household water meters.
The additional debt for this project will be around $1300 per home and will be funded through construction bonds that will be paid with property taxes. This is in addition to existing debt.
